Quickjack FAQ’s

QJ mustang front quarter vew

Is QuickJack safer than jackstands?

Overturning a car once it's elevated on QuickJack is nearly impossible. It would require considerable effort, to the extent that the noise might alarm the neighbors. QuickJack's footprint extends approximately the length of the vehicle's wheelbase, providing greater stability than traditional jack stands.

Can you use QuickJack on a driveway?

Home garages, professional shops, and pit areas at the track are usually very level, making them ideal for QuickJack. But what about your driveway or any other location that isn’t perfectly flat? In these situations, ensure the surface has no more than a 3-degree slope. Use a level to check; safety is always worth the extra effort!

Can you lift with QuickJack sideways?

Yes, you can definitely lift your vehicles with the QuickJack frames positioned "sideways," or perpendicular to your vehicle! Keep two things in mind: first, there will be a radial shift, meaning your car will lift to the left or right depending on your setup. Most importantly, this method works best with vehicles that have an even weight distribution. If a vehicle is too front-heavy or rear-heavy, it may cause the frames to lift or lower unevenly.

Can I drive over a QuickJack?

It is perfectly safe to drive your vehicle over your QuickJack frames—hold on before you click away! I said "over," not "on top of." There's a big difference! Driving over allows you to make slight adjustments to position your frames correctly. We recommend using the QuickJack positioning handle to slide the frames under the vehicle's lifting points. Driving on top of your frames is a different matter entirely; it could damage them and definitely void your warranty. You don’t want that, and neither do we, so please avoid doing it!

What is the difference between the SLX and the TL?

The biggest difference between the TL and the older SLX is the lifting height, which has increased 3 inches. This provides ample room to perform all the common vehicle maintenance tasks and allows you the capability to perform even the most complicated repairs.

What’s the difference between the QuickJack TL and TLX models?

The TLX models are the extended versions with jack support locations that extend 6 inches farther than the TL models.

Which QuickJack model works with my vehicle?

As a QuickJack dealer, we get this question from customers all the time, and we understand why - you want to be sure you're investing in the right lift for your vehicle. While we could make a general recommendation, getting the perfect fit really comes down to your specific car's specs. That's why we always share our simple measuring guide with customers. Just 2 minutes with a tape measure will ensure you get the ideal QuickJack model for your needs, giving you total confidence in your purchase.

Can I leave my vehicle stored on QuickJack?

As long as QuickJack's mechanical safety locks are engaged, vehicles can be raised and stored indefinitely.

Is it OK to use only one frame to lift?

No. QuickJack is designed to lift an entire vehicle with both frames by engaging the OEM recommended lifting points. Any attempt to alter this configuration could be dangerous and will void your warranty.

When will I receive my QuickJack order?

Most customers receive their QuickJack within 7-10 business days after placing their order. If you're located on the West Coast or in a remote area, delivery may take a few extra days. Once you place your order, you will be provided with tracking information so you can follow your QuickJack's journey right to your door.
